At the age of 51, I found myself in a place I’ve never experienced before, driven by fear and anxiety and unable to be in the present moment; my head was constantly in the future, thinking of what might happen. Ripp was recommended to me for the first time, and for many months, this powerful book supported me in dealing with my life changes. I also now have a clear insight and have gained methods of how to stop my suffering. I do not think I could have got through this without Ripp. I would highly recommend this book!

This is a book everyone will relate to, no matter if you have a massive issue or just the everyday stuff. It was great to read and listen to (and I have it on Audible) in down-to-earth language, with no psychobabble. Throughout the first part of the book, I gained an understanding of what RIPP is all about and how we are all RIPPING on some level. The second part of the book was brilliant, as it showed RIPP in practice and how the author conducted sessions with real-life clients. I was amazed at how effective and fast the process is. Just a few months ago, I was angry, moody, and short-tempered with everyone; most of the time, life was miserable, and I couldn't see why. Before even finishing the book, I could see clearly what I was doing and why. I can honestly say this book has changed my life. I'm no longer the person I used to be, and life has become calmer and more peaceful. Stress and problems will always be there, but I have learned the simplest way to handle life's challenges. RIPP gave me that 'lightbulb' moment. I'm recommending it to all my friends and family!

I didn’t expect RIPP to hit me as deeply as it did. It’s not just another self-help book — it really makes you stop and look at the patterns behind your anger, frustration, and sadness. The idea of RIPP — Resistance, Injustice, Powerlessness, and Pain — felt like someone finally put words to what’s been going on inside me for years.
What I loved most is how honest and human the writing feels. It doesn’t talk down to you or promise instant change. Instead, it helps you understand why you react the way you do and gives you hope that things can be different.
I’ve started noticing my triggers and handling them better since reading it. It’s definitely one of those books that stays with you and gently changes how you see yourself.

"RIPP: HOW TO STOP DESTROYING YOUR LIFE WITH ANGER AND UNHAPPINESS" is one of the most powerful books I’ve read on personal transformation. From beginning to end, it delivers deep insights, practical strategies, and emotional honesty in a way that feels both uplifting and utterly real.

What I loved most:
- The author’s voice is compassionate and wise, never judgmental. You really feel supported on the journey.
- The examples and exercises are simple yet effective—they’re the kind you can put into practice right away.
- It’s not just theory: the changes I’ve begun to notice (in my own mindset, in how I handle frustration and sadness) are genuinely lasting.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in anger, unhappiness, or just want tools to live more peacefully, this book is a must-read. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a way forward with kindness, clarity, and hope.

Thank you, Gearárd Mac Réamoinn, for writing this — it’s a gift.

The concept of Resistance, Injustice, Powerlessness, Pain (RIPP) presented by the author make so much clear and simple sense I was left wondering why we don’t all know this stuff already. The world would be a better place if we did. I have shared the ideas from RIPP with my family, friends and as part of my coaching strategy within my own business - it has an instant impact and I can see the penny drop in others as it did in me. I am calmer, my anxiety has lessened, and when I do suffer from a bout of anxiety, rumination or intrusive negative thoughts, I seem to be able to catch myself RIPPING. I now know what my brain is doing and why. The amygdala is hijacking my prefrontal cortex and making decisions and presenting thoughts based on fear of the future or on past events. Neither of which exist except in our minds. So we often get angry or upset about things that happened in the past or that we fear may happen in the future. RIPP helped me to realise this on a deep level. I ‘knew’ it before… I just didn’t ‘feel’ it. Now I do! When my adult children are struggling, I ask them, do you think you might be RIPPING about something? The switch is mindset is tangible. Buy the book, you won’t regret it.

Having read many "self-help" books and engaged in face to face counselling at various times in my life, i can honestly say this book is different! It does not contain the usual exercises to demonstrate your achievements or morning positivity mantras. Instead it explains in a very simple, easy to read and understand way, why painful emotions and suffering are being experienced. Gearard's identification and explanation of "RIPP" (Resistance, Injustice, Powerlessness and Pain) and associated theories, is explained is a straight forward, almost conversational way and gave many "lightbulb moments". I feel this principle and importantly, how to release emotions and recognise and end the cycle of RIPP has been truly enlightening and life changing for me. It has cut through hours of discussing and re-living painful situations and experiences and given me powerful ways to deal with past, present and future challenges and be happy! Many, many thanks Gearard
